The charitable arm of TotalCare, a family medicine practice founded in Joshua, Texas in 2004. The Foundation serves in North Texas, Kenya, Lebanon, Mauritania, and Uganda.

Our story

It started with one family practice in Joshua, Texas.

2004
TotalCare opens as a family medicine practice in Joshua, Texas. It grows to 14 facilities across North Texas — nine emergency rooms, four primary and urgent care clinics, and one behavioral health clinic.
2020
In August, TotalCare sends funding and resources to a clinic in Eldoret, Kenya that had lost its funding during the pandemic. On October 5 it is renamed the TotalCare Rapha Clinic, and it serves the community there still.
2023
The TotalCare Foundation is established — to follow our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in healing the sick, helping the hurt, and sharing the good news of the Kingdom of God.

Our faith

Our faith calls us to serve.

At the heart of TotalCare Foundation is our belief that every person created by God is deeply valued and worthy of dignity, compassion, and love.

Through Scripture, Jesus didn’t simply notice people who are hurting. He moved toward them.

That’s the example we want to follow. Our faith challenges us to go beyond words — to use our time, resources, professions, and relationships to serve others in tangible ways. It’s why we pray. It’s why we give. It’s why we go.

And it’s why, when a need feels much bigger than what we can solve on our own, we still believe God can use our willingness to make a difference.

What we do

One mission. Many ways to serve.

Children’s Heart Care
We help identify children with congenital heart conditions and walk alongside their families through screening, diagnosis, specialized care, surgery and recovery. Our current goal is to help provide corrective surgery for at least two children every month.
Medical Missions
Our medical teams provide completely free medical care, medications and referrals in communities where access is limited. Our team cared for over 17,000 patients and prescribed over 40,000+ medications over the last 6 years.
Global Partnerships
We work alongside people already serving their communities — physicians, social workers, hospitals and local leaders — to help strengthen what they’re doing rather than simply imposing outside solutions.
Local Community Impact
Through our Unity in Community Initiatives, we serve right here at home through blood drives, meal packing, medical supply projects, nonprofit partnerships, free healthcare access with medical vouchers and other opportunities. Recent initiatives have included the Kroger Million Meal Pack and serving alongside Mission Regan to prepare medical supplies for people locally and globally.
Meeting Practical Needs
Sometimes transformation comes through medicine. Sometimes it comes through shoes.
Our teams have provided shoes, socks and eyeglasses to children, mobility support to families and medications to patients and other practical resources that can dramatically change someone’s daily life.
